Community wellbeing

Now is a vital time to support local and small businesses as they try to get back on their feet. In September 2020, Simply Business reported that 1 in 5 small businesses didn’t think that they would survive another lockdown. October 2020 saw a second “circuit-breaker” lockdown arrive, followed by a third national lockdown in January of this year.  In March 2021, a new study by Simply Business revealed that the impact of Covid-19 on small businesses is now set to exceed £126 billion - double what they initially projected.

SMEs accounted for over 99% of all businesses in the UK in 2020, and supporting them is crucial to the wellbeing of our communities and the economy. If you visit one of your local favourites and they have time to chat, maybe take a minute or two to ask how they’re doing and let them know that you’re glad they’re back!
