Celebrating 1 whole year with the Distinct Recruitment family :)
This time last year I was just starting my career in recruitment, having worked in Marketing roles for 8 years I was ridiculously nervous to start something new.
There's two main reasons I'm lucky to work with Distinct, the first is just that I work 'with' Distinct not for them. Our CEO James Calder has created a working environment where positivity breeds, the drinks fridge is always full and above all he values each and every one of us.

The second reason I'm lucky to work with Distinct is the support, not only was I starting a new career but I was returning to work after maternity leave which on it's own is daunting enough let alone starting a completely new job. After a year of chatting baby lingo to my youngest and reasoning with my toddler, my mind was pretty drained and the thought of using certain aspects of my brain again was damn scary.
My boss; James Hales (and everyone else) has continued to entertain my awful banter but from the moment I started I've been supported. In my first interview, James and I discussed my part time hours which were never an issue and the flexibility around those hours has always been exactly that, flexible.

Like anyone life's thrown a fair few bout's of sickness our way, house moves and kids in general has meant life has been pretty hectic, but to work with a team that makes all of that seem less intense is all you can ask for... thanks guys!
I've loved working with all of my clients and candidates to date and seeing those recommendations pop up on my LinkedIn profile really do make me smile.
I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for both me and the Distinct family but first, it's our team trip to Dublin in September for smashing the month of May!
