New promotions for Office Support team

Upon a successful three months in the business, we are delighted to announce that both Laura Serena Rose and Lois Knight have been promoted to Talent Acquisition Consultants within the Office Support team at Distinct Recruitment.

 

Laura and Lois joined us back in February 2021 as Resourcing Consultants. With many employees still working from home full time, the Office Support job market still had a degree of uncertainty around it and Laura and Lois were both tasked with getting to know their market through developing candidate relationships.

Within 6 weeks of joining the company, both ladies had successfully made their first placements, an achievement which admittedly took our Director, Arran Jaiswal, six months to reach when he was first starting out.

Distinct Director, Becky Downes, who manages the team commented: “I couldn’t be more delighted for Laura and Lois in all they have achieved since joining the business in February. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of many people across the organisation but a particular mention to Jo Sanderson and Imogen Talbot-Slack who have been instrumental in their success.

Laura and Lois have made us so proud as a team and wider business in the way they have joined us in a time of abnormality due to Covid-19 yet have taken it all in their stride; working hard to quickly integrate themselves into the role and business, already building some fantastic relationships both internally and externally. 

Their promotion only further highlights the importance and significance of career pathways in our business and the opportunity that it can create.”

As we continue to get back to normal, the Office Support job market has well and truly bounced back as well, and now is a great time for Laura and Lois to build upon what they have learned and apply it to the client side of recruitment as they become fully fledged members of the team – congratulations, ladies!  

 

The Distinct Career Path.

 

Last October we launched our internal Distinct career path model. Led by our company values, whether you are joining the business on a trainee level or as an experienced senior consultant, we wanted to give all our staff a clear route to progress. Since introducing this, we have announced six internal promotions and increased our headcount to 42 and counting.
