Credit Controller - 6 month FTC

Northampton

Are you an experienced Credit Controller? Do you have experience with chasing outstanding debts, escalating overdue payments and reporting on ledgers?

A market leading organisation based in Northampton are looking to recruit a Credit Controller on a 6 month FTC basis. The Credit Controller will receive a salary of up to £26,000 per annum plus a benefits package which includes flexible and hybrid working (home based and Milton Keynes based) as well as pension, annual bonus, healthcare and 25 days holiday. There is potential that there could be a permanent opportunity at the end of the contract, however this is not guaranteed. 

The role will initially be offered on a hybrid arrangement as per government guidelines, however eventually the role will return to being office based in Northampton.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Chasing outstanding depts via email and telephone reducing the number of debtor days.
  • Managing and collecting customer aged debt
  • Analysing and reconciling customer ledger
  • Managing refunds where required
  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Providing regular reporting to Credit Control Manager
  • Working closely with Finance team to ensure accurate bank reconciliations and accruals
  • Enhance and maintain process documentation, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas to develop credit control processes and controls.

Candidate criteria

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • High attention to detail, ensuring that nothing is missed and be able to identify and correct discrepancies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Work as part of a team and collaborate well with others.
  • Willing to work in both Northampton and at home.

The Credit Controller will receive a salary of up to £26,000 per annum plus a very strong benefits package.
