A business in Leicestershire is on the lookout for a Category Manager to join their team due to rapid expansion. You’ll be joining a business and a market that is growing exponentially - the team you’ll be in has doubled in size since the start of the year.
This business is operating a hybrid working model, with most people working remotely and coming into the office for key meetings.
Day to day you’ll be increasing sales and profitability of allocated categories, providing technical advice/knowledge in the creation of tenders by the contracts team as well as successfully identifying and introducing new products and ranges.
You will also take ownership of all product data for your categories, ensuring that cost price information is accurate. You will need to be comfortable making product recommendations backed by clear data analysis. Advanced Excel capabilities are therefore very important.
Additionally, you will manage and develop your own Assistant Category Manager, setting clear goals and objectives. Experience of successfully managing and developing an Assistant will be highly desirable.
