This is an opportunity to join a fantastic Leicestershire based charity who are making great progress in changing lives for the better. They have made a hugely positive impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities, local employability initiatives and generally strengthening the local voluntary sector in Leicestershire.

This is a permanent opportunity and there is flexibility to work remotely for 4 days a week with 1 day in the Head Office in Leicester City Centre.

This charity are seeking an experienced Communications and Marketing professional with a strong background in team management. You will leading on the strategic development for communications and marketing and will work closely with the Executive Team to plan, manage and deliver a comprehensive and extensive range of communications, marketing and PR activities and projects. Ultimately your work will help to strengthen the brand, profile, services and media presence of the charity.

You will manage a small but experienced team of Communications Officers who work with their allocated internal customer base as communications partners and technical specialists delivering external and internal communications activities, marketing and outreach work, including events, digital and social media activity, brand and website development and engagement. A key challenge for this role is to manage and strengthen cross organisational relationships and matrix management skills are therefore essential.

Strong influencing and networking skills will be important in this job and ideally you will have a track record in developing a communications and marketing strategy from scratch to achieve measurable results. You will play a leading role in helping the charity to develop and grow their services and income, whilst strengthening the brand and stakeholder engagement by building strong relationships internally and externally.
