The Communications and Engagement Officer will be the media champion within the marketing team for this North Nottinghamshire based organisation. This will involve working to proactively seek out and create opportunities to raise the visibility of the organisation including targeting local communities, technical professionals and commercial audiences.
This will involve working alongside Communications and Engagement team members to target new and existing audiences via media and PR. You will advise internal clients and support their upskilling on how to engage effectively with audiences via these channels.
You will create and place creative and engaging content in line with the organisations mission, purpose and values and link this into national and regional campaigns where possible. It will also be important to coordinate the monitoring, measurement and dissemination of media and PR coverage to colleagues and champion the approach to building positive relationships with local, national and trade media outlets.
The successful candidate will show evidence of building relationships and working persuasively with trade press journalists to identify opportunities and place impactful content. You will have experience of handling reactive media enquiries and working with teams to ensure a timely and quality response. It would also be advantageous to have experience of working collaboratively with a creative design function to produce professional and engaging ‘on brand’ materials.
