Corporate Tax Assistant Manager/Manager | Leicester
I could tell you how interesting the clients are, how much this firm have invested into their systems or how these guys are the fastest growing accountancy firm in the top 100...
But that's not what you want to hear is it?
You want to know how flexible the working is, what the progression is like and if you can park for free.
As it says on the tin, this role is Corporate tax. It will be a mix of compliance and advisory with a focus on the latter.
What's different to other corporate tax roles is the environment, unlike the larger firms, these guys have no timesheets and won't be making sure you're in exactly at 9 and finish no earlier than 5.
With Hybrid working in place, they trust you to get the work done, however you feel comfortable doing it.
They're based just north of Leicester, so really easy to get to from Leicester or Nottingham with free parking on site.
Progression is also second to none. If you have a desire to be a partner one day, they'll set those wheels in motion and do everything to support you in getting there.
A few responsibilities of the role:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, which will include management of and involvement in the compliance process, as well as advisory
- Preparation and review of R&D tax claims
- Involvement in complex and bespoke advisory projects, including detailed technical analysis, report writing, clearance applications to HMRC and overseeing implementation
- Management and development of the next generation of corporate tax advisors
What experience do you need?
You'll ideally be CTA qualified, however more than happy to support you if you're in touching distance.
Strong experience in corporate tax within a practice is a must, ideally a couple of year under your belt.
If you'd like to hear more, just apply to this role and I'll be in touch. No worries if you haven't updated your CV yet, let's have a chat first.
You can find my contact details on the Distinct Recruitment Website (Elliot Langley), I've also got a full job spec which I'm happy to drop over.
