Here as a team leader, you’ll work with your team of 8 credit controllers managing a certain set of accounts and specific area of the business. You won’t be assigned your own set of accounts doing the day-to-day chasing, but you will be on hand to support with any escalations and queries the team have focussing on certain issues.
You’ll report into the Credit Control manager with updates on your area and team giving her clear visibility of the day-to-day situation.
Ensuring your team are performing to their best ability and supported you set KPI’s ensuring they are hit, having 121’s monthly with each of them.
You’ll be one of a few team leaders across the credit control department who all get together to bounce ideas around and share best practice to create a solid support function.
As a business they always looking to improve and they’re looking for a like-minded individual to join them on the journey. Whether that’s through automations or system upgrades you’ll need to be forward thinking and adaptable as things continue to develop.
Experience wise you don’t need to be in a supervisor position now to be considered for the role, but you need to be able to demonstrate the interest to do so. You could a senior in a team now supporting the manager or perhaps you mentor and train new team members and you’ll looking to step up into a more official supervising role.
