What skills are going to be in-demand in 2022-2023?
What experience do you need to get to where you want to be in 2025?
To some, these questions will seem a million miles away.
To you, they are front and centre. It’s your career plan. You know what you want to achieve and by when. Ok, Covid may have slightly delayed things, but, the ultimate goal is still there.
This role will get you there – Finance Business Partner – Nottingham – up to £45k. We’re open to hearing from applicants at the £40k mark too, and perhaps £50k for someone who can blow the client away.
In terms of in demand skills for the future.
· The ability to drive and influence change in a business
This role will absolutely let you do that. You’ll work with the Directors to help grow the business from £4m t/o to more than double in the coming years. How? Through the development of financial analysis, insights and reporting. You’ll get the chance to build these from scratch. Then implement them in the business. Then see the business grow. There’s no micro-management, no ‘we’ve always done it this way’, there’s just a blank canvas. Imagine the achievements and skills you’ll add to your skill-set?
· Where you’ll likely want to be in the future?
It’s likely the successful candidate for this role will be ambitious, likely eye-ing up a Head of Commercial Finance style role in the future, then FD. This will give you that chance. There’s support from external accountants and advisors and all of the management accounting is covered elsewhere in the team. Your route to the top job is clear and the Directors are succession planning for their next FD with this role.
