This role has huge amounts of variety. You will be leading a team of 2 so you will get to utilise you’re your technical ability - producing weekly / monthly reporting requirements, budgeting , year-end reporting, all things you will take ownership for. You will however also be finance representative at board and work with senior teams to support business growth through effective financial planning and taking on any debt / capital / tax or corporate finance requirements.
If you really enjoy managing a leading a developing team then this could be a good option. You should be happy leading a small team through the more challenge periods in the finance department including month end , year-end ,stock stake and annual budgeting.
Strong communication skills are really important in this role. Due to the markets in which their operation the company have managed to actually expand their headcount over the last 8 months, their shop floor team has grown as have their middle management and you should be confident communicating with these individual sad others outside of the finance team right up to board level.
