Joining as Head of L&D in this growing retailer, you’ll be solely responsible for the entire Learning and Development Service for the organisation including apprenticeships, early careers and future talent. You’ll be leading a multifaceted team of learning specialists to develop and embed a progressive learning culture.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and drive the L&D strategy and ‘in year’plans and contribute more broadly to the people agenda
• Lead the Group L&D team to provide a best in class learning offer to colleagues at all levels.
• Accountable for the delivery of our “L&D Plan” in line with the Group’s core vision and values that are aligned to the wider HR people strategy 
• Set up and embed all stages of the training lifecycle
• Contribute to long term goals around people development, including performance and development planning, succession planning, early careers and apprenticeship programmes.
• Plan and implement bespoke learning platforms and processes across the Group
• End to end budget management
• Ensure legal compliance is met in all learning interventions to ensure risks are minimised

What you’ll be:

• First off, you’ll need high energy levels as this will be a fast-paced role
• A senior L&D professional with proven experience in either FMCG, Retail or equivalent sectors
• Proven experience in delivering and executing an L&D strategy
• You will be managing a small team of L&D professionals; however, this is a “hands on” leadership role leading from the front.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to provide pragmatic and creative solutions
• The ability to develop strong relationships at board level – partnering closely with the business to identify and deliver innovative solutions.
• Ambitious to progress, grow and develop the role within an expanding business.
