If you’re an HR Assistant or Junior HR Advisor with an appetite to gain some exposure in a business that is growing and going through significant change, and feel at home away from a corporate environment then look no further.
12 Month FTC
Up to £28,000
There aren’t too many businesses like this is in the local area and there certainly isn’t a better time to join them as they are looking to bring in an extra pair of hands to support a period of significant change. This HR Assistant position is being recruited on a 12 month contract basis, paying up to £28,000 and, if it’s a good 12 months, who knows where it might lead?!
The HR Assistant will join a small but established HR team and will provide a hands-on HR service supporting the BAU activities, as well as alleviating some of the pressures that a significant change programme brings. You’ll be managing BAU employee relations matters; sickness, absence, grievance and coaching line managers on policy and process. Supporting employees will be a key part of the role, whether that is a general query on part of the employee lifecycle, or supporting them through the impact of the business transformation You will also play a key role in a volume recruitment campaign as the business looks to grow the headcount resource for a new site start up and will help manage the onboarding of new starters.
As the incumbent HR team closes out and begins new parts of the change programme, the HR Assistant will be tasked with playing a support role which could involve administration tasks, HR system maintenance, coordination of employee engagement, learning or engagement activities but will very definitely be out in the business, and not in the HR office.
What are we looking for?
Cultural affinity with this business and the brands it works with are a must – given the ongoing business transformation, the HR Manager is really looking for someone to be a cultural contributor so experience working with, or a personal interest, in quirky, edgy brands is a must. You’ll have a solid background in a junior HR capacity, including having managed ER matters, and will be a team player. Retail or distribution industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential. While based in Rushden, there will be occasional expensed travel to the new site so flexibility to travel is a must (new site roughly a 40 minute drive from Rushden site).
