A Fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a manufacturing organization as their HR Manager. We are looking for an experienced HR Practitioner from a Manufacturing background to provide a generalist service to this fast-paced environment. You will be partnering with the MD and leading the HR team to enable a successful delivery of the HR strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead, develop and direct a comprehensive HR function for the organisation, working as part of the management team to deliver the people plan and drive change initiatives
  • Measure employee engagement and identify areas that require improvement to nurture a positive working environment
  • Design, implement and deliver appropriate HR training including all on-site inductions
  • Manage recruitment and resourcing requirements including short and medium-term resource plans
  • Liaising with a variety of stakeholders involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety
  • Overseeing the delivery of key HR projects
  • Partner with managers to coach and advise them on people practices and issues, including organisational design and the development and engagement of employees
  • Providing first-line ER support to line managers across the breadth of ER including disciplinary, absence management, flexible working, performance management, maternity, and change management
  • Produce HR KPI reports and drive improvements within these
  • Ensure delivery of operational HR activities including absence management, performance management, ER, compensation, and benefits.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with managers across the company
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the HR system ensuring that it is used effectively and innovatively and implement improvements
  • Line management of small team

What you’ll be:

  • Ideally have manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced regulated environment
  • Resilient and able to manage conflicting priorities
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a similar role with proven track record ideally in a manufacturing or equivalent organisation
  • Up to date with current legislation
  • Understanding that flexibility and willingness to adapt will be fundamental to undertake a variety of responsibilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • CIPD Qualified (Level 7) or equivalent qualification
