An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading retail business as interim Reward Director. This role will be working in partnership with the leadership team to manage and deliver a number of reward projects. Working closely with a hierarchy of stakeholders you’ll be supporting in delivering and driving the reward and people plan forward and supporting the accurate delivery of employee reward and recognition.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You’ll be accountable for supporting the delivery of the Reward Plan for the business area which includes Pay and Job Evaluation and Benefits
  • Provide a sound understanding of the external market and innovative compensation, benefits & recognition strategies being offered by leading employers
  • Develop and present proposals to strengthen total reward offering
  • Contribute towards the evolution, implementation, and embedding of their levelling framework & required tools
  • Clearly define job families, market data, and comparators to provide accurate internal and external benchmarking
  • Review pay related policies
  • Providing solutions to any reward issues that arise, providing advisory and coaching support to HR and leaders around the business
  • Liaise with Finance regarding budget implications of pay and benefits changes
  • Build exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have extensive experience managing and developing a suite of Reward projects and offerings
  • Exceptional analytical and excel skills, with proven experience of interpreting data into relevant quantitative and qualitative insight
  • Short and long term organisational and prioritising skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at a variety of levels
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful, clear and simple information
  • Retail background desirable
  • Must be available at short notice and able to commit to initial contract of 3-6 months
