You probably speak to recruiters and say, I really want to stay in FMCG.
Some get it, some don’t.
It’s the pace of it. The excitement of the frantic levels of activity. Every day being different.
If you’re the type of person who likes this. I could have the ideal job for you.
I’m working with a product lead business in Notts, although does it matter where they are right now? You’ll be working from home until at least March time I imagine, perhaps longer. They have good tech for remote working though so no dramas there.
They’re looking for a Supply Accountant to join their team for 12 months. You’ll work with the Ops / Supply Chain teams, you’ll challenge them, hold them to account and support them to drive the business forwards. Proper business partnering.
It’s rapid pace here, the hours will be tough. I’ll make no secret of that. It is likely you’ll do 45-50 hours in some weeks given the nature of the company. I know that won’t be for everyone, but, I’d rather call it now.
The hiring manager is pretty set on what they’re looking for, FMCG / Product background is a must, could be any type of product. But, that stock knowledge is key to hit the ground running especially as it’s a contract. SAP experience managing stock will also be fundamental. CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified is their preference too.
Long term? Could go on longer than 12 months, could suit someone who just wants a strong project for a year. They’re not ruling anything out at this stage.
Always feel like the end of a radio ad when I do these, sorry.
