Internal Audit Manager | Birmingham | Top 10 Firm

 

Let's be honest, the responsibilities of Internal Audit roles are going to be very similar wherever you do them.

The difference will be the culture you work in, how the firm support their staff and the resources they can provide.

 

We're working with a Top 10 Accountancy Practice in Birmingham who are looking for an Internal Audit Manager to support due to their incredible, continued growth over the last couple of years.

While these are a massive firm, they don't have the crazy hours and rigid work structure that is often associated with a large practice.

Clients are at the heart of what these guys do, as long as you're contactable and flexible for any face-to-face client meetings, they're willing to be just as flexible.

When you're not with clients, you'll split your time between home and the office meaning you can be in for that delivery and won't be stuck on Queensway for hours on end.

 

You'll be working within the Risk & Advisory Services team being responsible for servicing clients, directing client work, managing a team and supporting the Partners with business development and practice management.

Further responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Act as lead on these assigned clients, planning the delivery of the work and overseeing the work of more junior members of the team
  • Creating board papers, ensuring all details are relevant and accurate
  • Developing and coaching the next generation of internal auditors
  • Liaison with central departments on risk management, technical and other matters
  • Support Partners in everything from group sales and marketing activity to implementations of new business strategies and targeting new clients
  • Be a team player – collaborating with colleagues to assist with continuous improvement in everything they do

 

You'll be qualified (CIA, ACA or ACCA) with a few years' of Internal Audit experience under your belt.
