This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Market Development Manager to join a rapidly developing high-tech company in Nottingham. The company operate from a custom designed manufacturing laboratory and office space however flexible working is available so it is realistically commutable from beyond the Midlands.
You will report directly to the CEO and your remit will cover all aspects of market development; market strategy and implementation, opportunity portfolio management and marketing communications. There will be a large degree of customer interaction and you will be responsible for the management of key customer relationships during the early phases of growth.
In this varied role you will have responsibility for a broad range of activities including the following:
There is a lot to do however you will have support from 3rd-party agencies to commission and create a suite of product collateral for each offering and sector, create a new website, CRM system and construct PR and social media campaigns etc.
To be successful in this job you will ideally have experience in a B2B strategic marketing role and it would be a huge advantage to have a technical/scientific background because the products can be applied to a number of industries such as chemicals, coatings, materials and nanotechnology.
This would be an ideal job for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong strategic, product marketing background. You will be capable of developing and implementing a marketing strategy and implementation plans utilising a full range of online/offline marketing tools. This will naturally include developing and managing an opportunity pipeline, leading the conversion of leads into opportunities and commercial success across a range of sectors.
