Distinct are working exclusively with a successful Leicester based manufacturing business to hire their first Marketing Manager to help them elevate their brand and take responsibility of their marketing department.

Your objective will be to build awareness of the products and services by developing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns. It is an exciting time for the business because they have a loyal customer base but have also branched off to supply new markets which have emerged in recent months including the NHS.

You will be an experienced B2B marketeer who is capable of setting marketing strategy but is also happy to roll their sleeves up and be hands-on. You will already have the support of a Marketing Assistant and Graphic Design resources who you will manage and inspire as you look to grow the team over time.

This will be a varied role and one of the first objectives will be to improve the marketing collateral available to the sales teams and improve the overall customer journey. The business is keen to improve their campaigns with more tailored, segmented and personalised messaging as they move to a more date driven approach to sales and marketing.

Other key tasks for the Marketing Manager will include:

  • Taking ownership and direct all marketing and public relations initiatives
  • Working closely with sales and business development to create common focus
  • Developing a consistent corporate image and ensure that the brand is well communicated across all channels
  • Identifying and understanding client’s needs and objectives to develop marketing campaigns
  • Reviewing and analysing sales performance against plans to determine effectiveness
  • Manage and influence staff performance by implementing effective KPI’s
  • Creation of an annual marketing plan
  • Implementing and supporting positive change to meet business objectives 
  • Identify training requirements, improve skills and support career development
