This is a great opportunity for an ambitious B2B Marketing Manager to join a hugely successful multinational manufacturing/construction company located on the Nottingham/Leicester border. This is a flexible employer so there will be opportunity to work from home but you would also be expected to visit the office for key meetings (roughly twice a week).
The purpose of this role will be to the day to day marketing liaison for Distributors and Merchant customers to understand their businesses, their individual requirements and what they're calling for in terms of support from your business. You will understand how to use this knowledge to work with the wider marketing team to design creative marketing approaches and campaigns to ensure you are the brand of choice for them and their customers. You will ensure distribution partners understand the benefits of your product portfolio and be equipped to educate and inspire partners and their customers to support and secure stocking positions (right offer, right place RORP) and maintain trusted partner status within the industry.
Key responsibilities within this role will include customer insight and customer personas and engaging directly with distributors and merchant customers. This will include managing the main engagement platforms chosen to concentrate on to build engagement with each distribution customer type (e.g. Social Media groups). You will own the Customer Journeys for each distribution Customer Persona to support the Commercial Campaign Funnels and agree the major touchpoints on the journey both online and offline.
You will support the distribution customers by working closely with National Account Directors to produce the strategic marketing plans for each National Sales Account. You will be the day to day marketing liaison with direct accounts and attend monthly meetings and ensure all marketing activity is in line with agreed plans.
Marketing campaign design, implementation and measurement will also be important. You will help to design individual marketing promotions and campaigns targeted at distribution customers that will drive commercial campaign funnel success. The assessment of KPIs and ROI to understand the effectiveness of marketing campaigns will therefore be crucial.
You will also be responsible for customer marketing collateral aimed at distribution customers. This will include responsibility for the 'Price Book', price notifications and email communication of all price changes. You will also help to produce collateral such as literature, digital content, point of sale, photography and videos in order to help drive sales.
You will be an experienced Marketing Manager ideally with a degree and CIM qualification and a successful track record of marketing campaigns. You will be someone who can translate data and findings into strategic actionable activities by channel and by audience and an excellent communicator who can tailor messages to different audiences.
It would be a big advantage to have a working knowledge of the construction sector and how to market in the construction industry, having an awareness of the regulations and standards applicable to construction products.
