Personal Assistant to Managing Director

Immediate Start

Northampton

£25,000 - £35,000

In this role as a Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for taking ownership of a broad range of day-to-day tasks and projects with the goal to alleviate pressure and free up time for a busy individual. It is essential that you are equally comfortable dealing with business-related tasks and minutes. The role requires you to be resourceful, to find solutions, to be supportive.

Is the position right for you?

You really are meticulously organised, and you are quick to learn how to use new apps. You’re able to work on your own initiative and pre-empt and second guess the requirements and needs of others.

The role will be very varied, so the ability to be flexible whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines is a must. Ongoing tasks will include:

  • Attending leadership and board meetings, taking minutes, establishing agendas, ensuring completion of action points 
  • Production of a range of reports and presentations for the Managing Director
  • Management of Managing Director diaries, including management of conflicts
  • Working alongside the Managing Director to support the strategic and operational plans of the business
  • Ownership of travel and hotel arrangements 
  • Management of Managing Director communication of the business including email management 
  • Producing and creating briefing packs to present to board and leadership teams
  • Providing weekly updates as requested by the Managing Director and other board members
  • General administrative duties
  • Ad hoc duties when required 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a similar role supporting executive or board members
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Advanced presentation and reporting skills
  • The ability to manage their own workload
  • The ability to work well on their own and as part of the team
