I am currently partnering with a high growth manufacturing and wholesale business in Peterborough. This role will suit somebody who is an experienced purchase Ledger clerk and immediately available.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all Purchase Ledger tasks for a defined region and set number of suppliers
  • Validation and processing of supplier invoices ensuring PO process is adhered to
  • Liaison with managers to determine invoice status and approval prior to processing
  • Complex statement reconciliations
  • Investigating debit balances and resolving complex supplier queries
  • Working closely with suppliers to resolve queries and errors in payment
  • Working with all finance teams to resolve incorrectly processed invoices and working to improve efficiency with administration teams
  • Confirming payment schedules and working with the AP Manager to ensure all suppliers are paid on time
  • Prepare all payment runs
  • Ensure all online payments are set up correctly.
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Requirements:

  • Intermediate/advanced Excel - VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables etc.
  • An individual that is able to communicate and work effectively with non-financial personnel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Someone who is organised and precise.
  • Ability to manage and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
