“Every day I start by hitting up Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram. Sometimes I like to throw in LinkedIn for the professional shawties.”
From the famous words of Tom Haverford (Parks and Rec) describing his stance on being a Social Media Executive.
Now, Tom wasn’t very good at his job I mean you can probably gather than from his use of Linkedin…The good news is you don’t have to be like Tom at all in fact, I have a good feeling you will be a lot better.
You will be someone who’s role is focused on increasing engagement through multiple social channels and making sure these channels are kept up to date. The good news is they already have a social media presence, this is a new role for you to come in and grow their presence.
This role would suit you if you are already in a role OR used to working in a role that is focused purely on Social Media. This is because much like Tom, he focused on a too many different areas and wasn’t an expert in his role. You will be the Social Media expert in this company therefore you have to be passionate about this area.
Now the company have just created a new role so, I am sure you can gather they are doing fairly well. You will be working for a company that’s have now opened their mind to the new future of working. Therefore, this role can be done remotely. But, without sounding like a part pooper you will have to put your work clothes on from time to time and be open to traveling within the UK. Because of the occasional travel a car and driving license will come in handy.
Do you fancy being an improved Tom Haverford? Are you someone that uses Linkedin to its full potential instead of just for connecting with professional shawties?
