This reputable business based in Nottingham City Centre are keen to add a Software Developer to their growing team. You would be joining a friendly, hardworking bunch of Developers who, whilst being extremely passionate about the role, enjoy the perks of working for such a successful business that encourages all staff to join in with both business and social activities.

As the ideal candidate, good experience of the full software lifecycle is a must and you will have the ability to understand and solve complex problems and will be naturally flexible in approach.  They’re a company that believes in promoting from within so in accepting a role with them you would be beginning a career into Software Development that has endless opportunities. Just to give you a clearer picture of how successful they are, on average, most of the development team have been with them for over 10 years and their current Software Development Manager began his career with them as Graduate.

Some of the key Responsibilities and Skills included with the role are:

  • Developing code software.
  • Developing documentation and training material conforming to relevant Company standards and procedures.
  • Undertaking functional testing and validation of developed code, documentation and training materials.
  • Identifying and participating in research activities to assist in advancing department ways of working.
  • Investigating customer products using scenarios, reproducing issues and resolving them.
  • Contributing to project planning, identifying and advising on technical tasks to be undertaken and the resources required for the project.
  • Understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Producing designs and specifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Supporting other parts of the business by providing technical information or assisting in obtaining research and/or development contracts.
  • Provide third line post-sales support.
  • Ability to write code in C++and Linux.
  • Excellent OOAD skills.
  • Secure programming techniques.
  • Keen interest in Cyber security.
  • Good understanding of Internet standards and protocols.

This is a full-time role that will be based in the Centre of Nottingham where you will find a team of 10 in the development team, including 4 other software developers and 2 graduates.

This software house partner with numerous government agencies so you will need to be able to obtain SC clearance to be considered for this role.
