As an operational supply chain professional, have you ever thought about moving away from the day to day and having a fresh challenge?
A business based in the East Midlands is looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager to join their team.
You’ll be making sure the supply chain is ready for the phase in / out of products, so that launches land on time, and obsolescence across materials, packaging, and finished goods is kept to a minimum.
Day to day, you can expect to be working with supply chain colleagues including Materials Managers, Planning Managers, and the S&OP team to ensure that NPI project milestones are being hit. This includes:
- Ensuring readiness of materials for the manufacture of new products
- Overseeing the setup of product master data and BOMS
- Minimising finished goods and materials obsolescence
- Working with the NPD team to develop a schedule of product launches
You’ll have a team of product lifecycle managers reporting into you, who you’ll be responsible for coaching and developing.
You’ll also be developing the project management processes that the team works to.
You’ll be part project manager, part supply chain manager. The person who makes sure stuff gets done.
This role will suit you if you have a background in supply chain management within the FMCG sector. Previous project management experience isn’t essential, but experience of working in an environment with a high product refresh rate is.
If you like the sound of the above, we’d love to hear from you. To find out more, you can either apply via this ad or contact Joel at Distinct recruitment.
