A Tax role (with a twist)
You’ve spent your career in Tax. It’s what you love but you’re after something a bit different to the norm. This could be it.
You could work from home or be office based. There will be some travel, but this will be flexible around your circumstances. You’ll get a competitive salary, a company car, bonus, pension, 27 days holiday (rising to 30) with the option to buy 7 additional days each year, private medical and a range of other flexible benefits.
Mercia is one of the leading providers of training and support services to the UK accountancy profession. Over 6,000 firms attend their training events, rely on their technical products and promote themselves using their marketing services.
Founded over 30 years ago, their growth and success has been driven by providing all sizes of firms with a diverse range of high quality products and services that suit their individual needs.
They’re recruiting a Tax lecturer to join their team.
What you'll be up to
You’ll have a varied role that will give you the satisfaction of sharing your deep tax knowledge to clients across the UK. The role will be split between tax lecturing and tax consultancy / managing tax queries.
You’ll be presenting tax CPD courses face to face, online and in house, writing and developing technical course material for use at events and your ideas for potential new courses would be very much welcomes by the training event managers.
On the consultancy side you’ll be providing expert tax advice to clients and other members of the Mercia tax team.
You will also get the chance to build lasting relationships with a wide client base to identify and deliver their training needs.
So what about you?
You’ll probably be ACA or CTA Qualified and looking for something that is a little different to your everyday tax role.
You’ll also be the kind of person who loves to learn and have the knack of distilling your complex technical knowledge in a way that others can understand.
