It was very different in the early days.

Do you want to come and work for us?

We don't have an office yet, or a name, but we know a bit about recruitment, and we've got some ideas about how we can do it better.

That's right, Distinct didn't exist until the 3rd Jan 2016. Before then it was just a dream.

An idea. A belief we could build something special. Something people wanted to be associated with and a place where people would enjoy coming to work.

We made the leap. A leap away from the security of working for well known, established brands. Some thought we were mad. After all, our business had no name, never mind a website or customer base. All we had was a single mac, a printer and a coffee machine.

Our nerves were eased.

Truth be told, we weren’t sure whether anyone would follow us. But what we lacked in customer numbers we more than made up for in belief. And a desire to build something really special. Together. Then it all started to happen. We won new business, more people joined, and we moved to a bigger and better office. Oh, we also took the whole company to Las Vegas.

Fast forward to today and we have a new home to call our own. You can find our Nottingham city centre office in the Lace Market. We also opened a second office in Milton Keynes

Our team is also much bigger, you can meet us all here, including our other investors (Paul Macildowie and Michael Dawson, ex-Spurs and England international).

We’re an eclectic bunch and, whilst most people don’t come to work to make friends, we are privileged to class everyone we work with as a friend. We work hard but play hard too - as well as Vegas, we’ve done London, Vald’Isere and Hvar - and there’s plenty more to come.

We’re very fortunate to have an incredible team around us and even though we’re 6 years into our journey, it still feels like we’re just getting started. What we’re trying to say is, now is a great time to join us.
