Adam began his career in recruitment in 2019 and has since worked across a variety of sectors, including engineering, construction and office. Drawn to the people-focused nature of the profession, he was keen to build a career centred on developing strong relationships and helping individuals find the right opportunities.
He joined Distinct because of its excellent reputation within the market and felt that the company’s people-centric values closely aligned with his own.
At Distinct, Adam specialises in temporary and contract recruitment for office support roles across the East Midlands. Supporting businesses and candidates in the fast-paced nature of temp recruitment in areas including customer service, administration, business development and sales.
Adam particularly enjoys the opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s careers by connecting them with excellent opportunities. One of the aspects he enjoys most about recruiting within office support is the variety of roles and businesses he works with, ensuring that no two days are the same.
Adam’s recruitment approach is built around clear, honest communication with both clients and candidates. He believes that career moves should never be rushed, which is why he takes a consultative, no-pressure approach throughout the recruitment process. By taking the time to understand individual needs and long-term goals, Adam helps clients secure the right talent, and candidates find the right opportunities.
Adam is particularly passionate about helping people return to work after a career break. Whether the gap has been due to caring responsibilities, health reasons, study or other life circumstances, he understands the challenges candidates can face when re-entering the job market. In his experience, candidates with career gaps are often overlooked despite bringing valuable skills, resilience and experience, and he enjoys helping them secure opportunities that allow them to get their careers back on track.
One of Adam’s most notable achievements was supporting a university client that had previously struggled with agency recruitment. After successfully placing an initial temporary worker, the partnership grew significantly, resulting in 45 temporary workers being placed over the following year.
Outside of work, Adam is a keen football fan and an avid supporter of Nottingham Forest. When he’s not watching the game, he enjoys getting out on the pitch himself whenever he gets the chance.
When he’s not following football, Adam loves travelling, exploring new places and immersing himself in different cultures.
