Amy was initially drawn to the recruitment industry out of curiosity; she found excitement in visiting different companies and understanding their operations. After eight years, this aspect remains one of her favourite parts of the job. She enjoys understanding client needs and supporting them in creating and sourcing talent solutions that align with their broader commercial objectives.
Amy appreciates the dynamic nature of the recruitment field, influenced by various factors such as the economy, political climate and the emergence of new generations in the workplace. She finds fulfilment in networking, connecting with new people and building trust to become a reliable business partner and market expert.
Amy believes in cultivating authentic relationships with candidates and clients. Often employing a ‘warts and all’ approach, Amy champions transparency, ensuring that all parties have a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented in the recruitment process.
Amy encourages her network to think creatively. As a recruiter, Amy is uniquely positioned to witness a variety of business structures and role interpretations. She feels it is her responsibility to share this insight with clients, helping them define role briefs based on market intelligence and enabling them to utilise new hires to address evolving gaps in the HR remit, rather than simply hiring for like-for-like positions.
Outside of work, Amy is a passionate gym-goer, avid foodie, aspiring padel player and musical theatre enthusiast! Her perfect weekend often involves exploring a new restaurant or asian-inspired recipe, improving her padel skills, winding down with her Kindle and long walks with her beloved long-haired sausage dog, Chief.
