Angela has a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design from NTU and is a keen artist who loves all things design. Transitioning from fashion retail management to recruitment seemed like a great career move for her, allowing her to utilise exciting skill sets in a different sales environment.
With 13 years of consulting experience, Angela was attracted to Distinct due to their strong reputation in the marketplace, as well as their great working benefits and facilities. Additionally, she has pre-existing relationships with current employees.
She takes pleasure in building professional, long-lasting relationships with all her customers, clients, and candidates alike, adding value as their recruitment partner by consulting and sharing her knowledge to benefit them.
Angela focuses on building long-term and mutually beneficial relationships. Referring to her customers as her “Tribe”, Angela’s recruitment approach is centred on consulting, honesty and earning business through referrals from both clients and candidates. She strives to be the trusted source for career and recruitment advice.
She devoted four months to a single confidential project for an exclusive partnering client, prioritising their needs by recruiting multiple positions to form a new finance team. This project was completed in various phases, starting with initial pipelining and ongoing communication with suitable candidates to keep them engaged until the recruitment process officially began. After offers were made, Angela ensured that new hires remained engaged prior to their start dates. She provided support in designing the recruitment process, managed the client’s diary, and was available around the clock, even on her non-working days.
Angela’s customers will always be her top priority. She treats them with respect while promoting their brand positively. Angela brings valuable insights on the candidate and the job market. She aims to be fair when negotiating terms and fees, always keeping the best interests of both clients and candidates at heart. Representing and promoting her partnering client brands positively and correctly is essential to her. Equally, Angela values her candidates, taking the time to truly understand all her customers and their needs.
Angela believes in healthy eating, cultivating a healthy mind, maintaining positivity and engaging in training that supports these values. With over 20 years of experience in yoga, ballet is another passion of hers and more recently, she has embraced reformer pilates.
Her daughters are the light of her life, alongside her husband; they recently welcomed a beautiful dog they rescued from Romania called Sarah. As a family, they support a small orphanage in Uganda called Little Star, sending clothes, money and other necessities. Her daughters take great joy in seeing photos of the children from the orphanage wearing the clothes they have outgrown.
