After graduating with a BSc in Business Management from The University of Birmingham, Isabella gained valuable experience on ALDI’s Area Manager Scheme. Seeking a new challenge, she joined Distinct, attracted by their fast-paced yet supportive environment and the 12-week intensive program designed to quickly familiarise her with recruitment and ensure future success in her career.
Under the mentorship of Distinct’s Finance team, Isabella has found her niche in clerical finance. As a recruitment specialist, she most enjoys building social rapport with her clients and candidates, finding it immensely rewarding to match the right people with the right career opportunities.
Isabella believes that a considerate approach is essential to building strong relationships with both candidates and clients. By pinpointing a client’s needs and a candidate’s career ambitions, she ensures that both parties benefit.
Acting as a dedicated representative, Isabella helps her candidates secure interviews for their ideal clerical finance positions. She carefully analyses the culture of the finance firms she collaborates with, matching skilled professionals to employers who will support their career growth and where candidates can truly add value to the team.
Isabella excels in understanding the skills, personality and work ethic of the clerical finance candidates she presents. With this deep knowledge, she confidently advocates for them in conversations with clients, demonstrating their value and long-term career potential.
In one notable instance, Isabella was convinced her candidate would succeed in an interview if given the chance. Initially overlooked by the client, Isabella persisted and reiterated the candidate’s strengths. When an interview slot eventually opened up, her advocacy paid off – securing her candidate an interview and subsequently, the job.
When Isabella isn’t cooking or travelling, she loves exploring new routes and trails with her miniature dachshunds, Kahlo and Cassie, who have become office favourites (photographed below). She has also discovered a passion for gardening and recently celebrated her first year of successfully growing her own fruit and vegetables.
