Keifer’s route into recruitment began far from it. After completing an apprenticeship and an HNC in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, he spent 15 years working as an Electrical Design Engineer. That experience gave him a practical understanding of how organisations really function.
Discretion and confidentiality play a big part in Senior Finance recruitment, most of his conversations are one’s people can’t have anywhere else.
Keifer believes the best results come from collaboration, not box-ticking. He’s comfortable challenging a brief when it doesn’t quite add up.
In one case, a client asked him to recruit for a role they assumed they needed. Instead of running with it, Keifer stepped back, reviewed the wider team structure and helped identify a different gap altogether. The role was reshaped, the hire landed better – and the business was stronger for it.
That mindset carries through everything he does: constant review, steady improvement and a belief that work should be both enjoyable and stretching.
Outside of work, Keifer spends most of his time with his partner and their dog, making the most of any chance to get outdoors and switch off. He’s also always keen to squeeze in a game of padel.
