My professional background

Selena began her career while attending Sunderland University, deferring in her final year to focus on her role in Telesales, where she sold B2B IT solutions. When relocation became necessary, she realised it wasn’t the right move for her. Reflecting on what she loved about her job – customer service, sales and recruiting – she found recruitment to be a natural fit. Following a seamless transition into office and IT support recruitment, Selena’s career has spanned both national and local agencies. 

 

Seeking greater autonomy, Selena joined Distinct almost 7 years ago and hasn’t looked back. With over two decades of specialist skills, knowledge and network connections, she is a key, valued member of the office support and wider Distinct team.

Selena consistently brings her infallible sense of humour and delicious baked goods to the office. Distinct’s most talented baker, she whips up everything from banana and pecan loaf to chocolate fudge cake. Describing herself as “dog mad,” Selena often says she’d adopt dozens of dogs if she could. For now though, she is happily content with her puggle, Harry, who often steals the show at doggy daycare, especially when wearing special outfits on seasonal holidays (see picture – you’re welcome).
