I am currently representing an experienced AP professional with around 10 years of Accounts Payable experience, all gained through successful temporary and contract assignments across a wide range of businesses, sectors, systems and Finance environments.
With a strong end-to-end AP background, this candidate would be particularly well suited to businesses looking for someone who can step in quickly, take ownership and get things moving without needing lots of hand-holding.
Experience includes:
- Multi Sector
- Full UK Accounts Payable process
- Multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Management of hundreds of live suppliers, including key and complex accounts
- Up to 200 invoices per day
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- BACS payment preparation
- SAP, COINS and Oracle
- Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
- Month-end reporting and wider Finance support
- Training, mentoring and onboarding new team members
The contracting background is a real strength here. They are very accustomed to walking into unfamiliar businesses, learning new systems and processes quickly and becoming productive from the outset. Assignments have frequently been extended as a result of the value added.
Most recently, an AP assignment originally expected to last 3 months was extended to approximately 12 months, with additional responsibility taken on for a key supplier account and the training and onboarding of new colleagues.
Confident, adaptable, accurate and self-sufficient, with strong communication skills and a genuine ability to build relationships quickly. Someone who is not afraid of a challenge, asks questions when needed and finds practical solutions when faced with something unfamiliar.
Currently working on a short-term assignment and available on approximately 1 week’s notice.
Open to AP opportunities, particularly senior AP or AP Team Leader positions, as well as strong FTC opportunities.
