This is an ICAEW qualified Financial Controller with around fifteen years of experience operating inside complex, multi entity businesses where accuracy, governance and delivery really matter.
They have spent a significant part of their career within large, international consumer and retail groups, most notably supporting EMEA operations for a portfolio of global brands with combined turnover of c£350m. Their remit has consistently covered full month end and year end close, statutory reporting, audit and tax coordination across multiple jurisdictions, alongside leading sizeable teams through change.
A defining feature of their profile is systems led transformation done properly. Not ripping things out for the sake of it, but migrating businesses onto scalable platforms while keeping reporting, controls and audit readiness intact. They have led multiple migrations onto SAP following acquisitions, transitioned consolidation platforms from Hyperion to OneStream, supported ecommerce platform changes, and overseen the build out of offshore finance teams. These projects tend to land with them because they are trusted to keep the wheels on while things move underneath.
Before this, they operated as Finance Manager through the acquisition of an owner managed business into a NYSE listed group. In that environment they effectively stepped into a Financial Controller role, tightening controls, accelerating close timelines from WD10 to WD2, implementing SOX compliant processes, and managing multi currency ledgers under US GAAP consolidation. It is the kind of environment that tests both technical grounding and resilience, and they came out with clean audits and credibility intact.
Earlier commercial experience includes responsibility for very large cost bases and cash flows within a FTSE listed travel business, owning accommodation costs of c£600m per annum, producing board level reporting, managing foreign currency exposure and supporting investment decisions across seasonal and property planning cycles.
They also bring a strong technical foundation from time spent in audit, corporate finance and tax within a top ten firm. This included working with complex group structures, PLC audits, due diligence assignments and AIM related transactions, which still shows in how confidently they handle statutory accounts, technical accounting issues and audit conversations today.

Someone who builds capable teams, puts structure around work without creating noise, and is relied upon by senior stakeholders to deliver on deadlines without drama. They tend to be brought in when the organisation has grown more complex and finance needs to quietly step up a gear.
