How does interim recruitment work?
We’re proud to champion the senior interim market across the finance industry. In recent years, we’ve seen more demand for day rate and fixed-term contracts and have everything in place to ensure this is a smooth process for clients and candidates.
Common reasons for needing an interim hire may include assistance with busy periods or special projects, sickness or maternity cover and specialist skill requirements for a short period of time. Many of our clients will also hire for a temporary period before making a permanent offer. The interim finance market is fast-paced and we can be reactive if you need to hire somebody quickly. We’ll also take care of all administrative responsibilities, such as:
- Candidate registration
- Eligibility requirements
Unsure whether a contract or interim hire might be the best solution for your business or require more information on how our process works? What type of candidates do you work with?
We support finance professionals with all qualifications, including AAT, ACA, CMA, ACCA, QBE, ATT and CIPFA. Prior experience either from a job or placement year will be advantageous in your job search. Unfortunately due to working VISA requirements, we are unable to support candidates who do not live in the UK or have the right to work in the UK.
What services will I get as a candidate?
Our candidate services are completely free. This includes:
- Free CV and LinkedIn profile advice
- Thorough interview preparation
- Clear communication at every step
- Offer negotiation
As part of our after-care, we’ll keep in touch to ensure you’re happy in your new position.
How common are hybrid or fully remote finance jobs?
Hybrid is currently the most common type of role we recruit for, with many of our London-based clients requiring 1-2 days in the office. Full-time office roles still very much have a place within the industry and in our experience, fully-remote roles are not very common.
How can I find out more about the East Midlands Finance Awards?
The EMFA takes place in Nottingham city centre in the month of June. We advertise the award categories and entry requirements from February, with tickets going on sale in April of that year. Distinct does not judge any awards, these are determined by a group of impartial partners. Any East Midlands-based business may enter and we promise a brilliant night for all.
