Nottingham | £14.00–£14.50 per hour | 12-Week Temporary Assignment | Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for an immediate temporary opportunity where you can get involved in more than just processing invoices?
We’re recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a global business in Nottingham.

£14 to £14.50 per hour

Role overview

This is a varied Accounts Payable position combining day-to-day transactional responsibilities with the opportunity to support an important finance transition project.
Whilst invoice volumes are relatively low, the work can be technically complex. You’ll deal with high-value invoices across various areas of the business, so this would suit someone who enjoys investigating queries, understanding the detail behind invoices and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing and matching supplier invoices
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
Supporting payment processing
Managing supplier queries and building strong supplier relationships
Liaising with internal departments to resolve issues
Documenting Accounts Payable processes
Gathering knowledge from the existing Accounts Payable specialist
Supporting a smooth transition and handover of processes
Providing wider Accounts Payable support to the finance team

About you

You’ll have previous Accounts Payable experience and be confident managing your own workload within a busy finance environment. You will also be available immediately or at short notice.

You’ll also bring:

Confidence investigating more complex invoice queries
Strong supplier relationship management skills
Good organisational skills
A proactive and self-sufficient approach
