A well-established consumer retail business in Bingley is looking to appoint a Part or Newly Qualified Financial Accountant as it continues to strengthen its finance team.
This role will suit an ACCA, ACA or CIMA studier who has developed a solid grounding in financial accounting and wants broader exposure within a complex, multi-channel business.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will support accurate month-end reporting, maintain strong financial controls and contribute to statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
The Role:
- Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
- Support the production of monthly management and financial accounts.
- Assist with statutory accounts and year-end audit requirements.
- Prepare VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.
- Maintain fixed-asset records and support capital expenditure reporting.
- Work with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting and finance processes.
- Support wider finance projects and provide cover across the team when required.
About You:
- Actively studying toward ACCA, ACA or CIMA or recently qualified
- Experience within a financial accounting, management accounting or assistant accountant role.
- Good understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet controls.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
- Accurate, organised and able to meet reporting deadlines.
- Clear communicator who can work effectively across finance and the wider business.
