Distinct Recruitment are working in partnership with a great organisation to recruit a Head of People. This is an exciting role for the business.

Responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the development and delivery of the people agenda, whilst leading a small HR team.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage the day to day operational HR function
  • Responsible for overseeing the internal recruitment process, talent mapping and succession planning 
  • Be responsible for the delivery of an inclusive people strategy with a clear ROI
  • Partnering with the SLT to shape and structure the organisation for the future
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned to the overall business plans
  • Develop line management capability to deliver core people skills
  • Provide advice and support to line managers on all HR issues
  • Develop & champion ESG initiatives across the organisation

What you’ll be:

  • High emotional intelligence and an ability to build strong relationships quickly to influence and operate at a senior level
  • Strategic Leadership of HR in a commercial environment
  • Aptitude to coach senior level leaders and identify opportunities and develop effective ways of working with the SLT
  • Demonstrable success in change management
  • Proven leadership, management, and project management skills
  • Excellent commercial judgment and discretion
  • Articulate, professional and motivational communication
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive coaching skills
  • A passion for people – capable of attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining the best talent in the industry
