Role overview
We are looking to bring in an experienced Brand and Marketing manager to help develop the function, embed best practice, and build the brand among customers and prospects, and the ‘corporate’ space in general. As well as acting as an expert support and consultative partner for employer brand marketing and internal communications functions.

You’ll come in with bags of brand and marketing knowledge and experience, a creative mindset, a nose for a good headline or story and a desire to nurture what is already in place and help build it to the next level.


The role comes with lots of variety, a relatively high degree of day-to-day autonomy as well as the opportunity to be an integral part of the next phase of the organisations journey.


Key responsibilities will include:
  • Helping to further embed the brand with all stakeholders and ensure adherence to brand guidelines. Make recommendations for where the brand might flex and evolve, by degrees, as necessary
  • Act as the custodian of marketing and communications planning
  • Take ownership of the brand on all channels, including website, where you will work together with the in-house digital team (and cross-functional colleagues) to ensure appropriate customer journeys, messaging and branding as well as SEO and monitoring analytics
  • Build the brand on social media e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok etc.
  • Co-develop a calendar of engaging content for key audience groups, and be prepared to roll up your sleeves to help shape and/or create copy for social posts, blogs, features, reels etc.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics for activity across all the channels employed – demonstrating value to the business
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of activities for the Senior Leadership Team
  • Guide, mentor and manage a small team of brand and marketing professionals, help them to grow their own skills and take on areas of ownership
  • Day-to-day management of a modest Brand & Marketing budget and a small pool of external agency partners
About you
This opportunity would suit candidates with proven experience as a Brand and Marketing Manager or similar role. You will have a strong understanding of the role that brand plays in underpinning marketing strategy and the ability to create, take forward and monitor marketing initiatives across multiple audience segments including internal groups.


You will have proven and direct experience of working across the marketing mix. This will include:
  • Website branding and management, SEO and analytics
  • Social media marketing and analytics (paid and organic)
  • PR/corporate marketing and creative writing
  • Direct marketing and general advertising
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, e.g., a maturity of outlook, tact and flexibility of outlook
  • Proven experience managing, developing and mentoring a team
  • Experience managing a budget as well as external agency partners
  • Excellent written English, presentation, communication, and organisational skills
