Breaking ground: Distinct’s new London office marks expansion milestone

As Distinct’s journey of growth and expansion unfolds, we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone; the opening of our newest office in London. Building upon our strong foundation in the London market, this marks a significant venture beyond our Nottingham-based headquarters, signalling an exciting new chapter in our evolution.

Distinct’s new office in London

On April 2nd, 2024, a new chapter unfolded for our team, as we embarked on our journey in our brand-new London office. Nestled in the dynamic Pancras Square, the new location provides a unique experience for multiple stakeholders within the organisation, making it the ideal hub for our clients and staff to collaborate and connect.

So, why London? Having successfully served customers in the bustling capital over the last few years, we decided the time was right to invest in a permanent space to call home. This dedicated space not only accommodates our expanding team of consultants, but also strategically places us in the heart of the city. Boasting fantastic transport links, the new office allows us to further strengthen both our UK and US operations.

Commenting on the opening, our Chief Executive Officer, James Calder said – “We are delighted to be bucking the trend and continuing to invest in our company’s growth with the opening of our London office in Kings Cross – one of the largest and most successful redevelopments in London. Despite the current economic market, this strategic move aligns perfectly with our growth plans in both the UK and North America. From the outset, our vision has been to create a company that offers regional, national and international opportunities. With the imminent launch of our Boston MA office, we are on the verge of realising that vision. This is an incredibly exciting time at Distinct, with abundant opportunities for consultants in Nottingham, London and Boston MA.”

Impact on Distinct’s services

The physical expansion into London represents a significant milestone for Distinct, amplifying our capacity to meet the diverse needs of clients and candidates in the region. With a dedicated focus on the accountancy practice market in London and its surrounding areas, our new office stands as a strategic hub, poised to deliver tailored recruitment solutions to meet this industry’s unique demands.

As Alex Alcock, head of Distinct’s accountancy practice division affirms, “having worked with customers in London for a couple of years now and servicing the city’s vibrant accountancy practice market, establishing a physical presence here was a natural progression for us. This strategic move will allow us to forge stronger connections with diverse accounting professionals and firms in the city. By offering bespoke recruitment solutions tailored to their evolving requirements, we are poised to elevate our service delivery and become even more integral to their success.”

Future plans and growth

As we look towards the future, Distinct’s vision for growth remains resolute and ambitious. Our newly established presence in London serves as a pivotal stepping stone, propelling us towards further expansion opportunities both in the UK and globally. The strategic importance of our London office cannot be overstated; not only does it strengthen our position in this robust market, but it also lays the groundwork for future ventures into key regions. As we solidify our presence in the UK, we are also excited to announce our next endeavour – the launch of our office in Boston, America.

Back in 2021, we proudly expanded our unique, people-centric approach to talent acquisition to the East Coast. Today, our dedicated team caters to clients and candidates in the public accounting, finance and legal sectors across 17 states. With our physical presence on the horizon, we’re eager to amplify our impact and further elevate our service delivery. Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting new chapter.
