The East Midlands Finance Awards (EMFA) 2025 was a night to remember as we gathered to honour the talented and dedicated individuals and teams in the finance sector. At Distinct, we firmly believe that the East Midlands is an ideal place in the UK for developing a successful finance career and this event showcased just that.
Taking place on the 17th June and once again hosted at Nottingham Contemporary, the evening was more than just an awards ceremony; it was a vibrant celebration filled with live entertainment, uplifting music and numerous photo opportunities. Now in its fifth year, the EMFA serves as a wonderful platform for local businesses and finance professionals to connect, celebrate their accomplishments and express appreciation for their teams’ hard work. It was truly a well-deserved night of fun, camaraderie and recognition for the exceptional talent in our community.
After the guests enjoyed welcome drinks and street food, our Talent Acquisition Director in Finance, Henry Clarkson, took to the stage as EMFA’s official host for the evening. He introduced an incredible illusionist and royal variety performer, Dean Odell, who amazed the audience with his performance. Following Dean’s act, members of our finance recruitment team presented the individual awards, recognising the runners-up and winners of the EMFA. Once the awards presentation was finished, everyone danced the night away to live music provided by The Burgendys.
