After an enforced two-year break, Distinct has announced that the East Midlands Finance Awards will be taking place again this year – and will be bigger and better than ever.
Staged at the Nottingham Contemporary on 14th July 2022, the awards recognise finance professionals in the East Midlands who have delivered a stand-out service both for their own business and clients.
This year’s event is extra special, as it will pay homage to the hard work and commitment shown by all those working in finance during the coronavirus pandemic. With Covid and the resulting furlough scheme, the finance sector has faced two of the toughest years in its history. Learning new ways of working whilst also juggling the uncertainty put a huge strain on finance teams, so the Awards will be a true celebration of resilience and professionalism.
Distinct’s UK Director of Operations and Head of Finance recruitment, Ryan Jaiswal commented:
“The East Midlands Finance Awards are designed by Accountancy & Finance professionals, for Accountancy & Finance professionals, making the accolades given very significant. This year, we also want to celebrate the strength and resilience of the whole sector and especially recognise teams and individuals with the East Midlands Finance Awards.”
Along with Ryan Jaiswal, Distinct’s UK Growth & Strategy Director and Finance recruiter Alex Alcock is also managing the event. He adds:
“Finance teams have had to navigate everything from furlough schemes to tight reporting deadlines, coupled with teams scuppered by remote working, home-schooling, and isolation challenges. We join with others to champion these teams and the incredible hard work from individuals.”
