Recruitment agency launches thriving Executive search division

Nottingham-based recruitment agency, Distinct has continued to successfully drive growth in the region thanks to its thriving Executive division. On the back of year-on-year sales growth of 68% in 2021, the business is quickly making a name for itself as the recruiter of choice for Executive and board-level appointments in the East Midlands.

The company attributes the divisions’ growth to the market expertise and regional knowledge of their specialist team, who provide senior and leadership-level recruitment for Finance, Human Resources, IT and Technology, Marketing and Supply Chain and Procurement.

In addition, its business model is focused on the delivery of candidates up front, instead of the standard executive recruitment processes which demand the majority of the search fee be paid first. This change of approach has contributed to the team’s 100% success rate of presenting the right candidates to a large range of SMEs and large corporates who are seeking high-level personnel.

Distinct is focused on finding the ideal person for each vacancy from their catchment areas of Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Milton Keynes – and not chasing a finder’s fee.

Alex Alcock, the leader of the division, stated that Distinct Executive’s passion for the East Midlands and sector expertise is helping the business to stay ahead of the competition. He comments:

“Many businesses have in the past assumed that it’s only head hunter recruitment businesses in large cities who will attract the top executive candidates.

However, our passion for the East Midlands, coupled with our knowledge of top-level people in the area, is a winning combination. Our team are experts in their recruitment areas, so they understand what businesses are looking for. They can use their local knowledge to combine both areas to deliver a selection of candidates that not only meet the brief – but exceed the brief.”

Last year, Distinct moved its head office to Nottingham’s historic Lace Market and opened a new site in Milton Keynes, alongside expanding internationally with their remote recruitment service in New York and Boston.

The business continues to build on its founding principles of being people-focused through reinvestment, helping to grow teams across the business and supporting employee’s internal career progression. From its inception, Distinct set out to offer a different working environment – removing the financial pressure points from its business growth model to instead focus on nurturing the talent and people within the business.
