After completing her A-levels in Business, Economics and Geography, Bethan spent a year travelling before moving straight into the world of work. Recruitment appealed to her interest in people and the ability to make a measurable impact – for candidates, clients and her own career.
She chose Distinct for its flexibility and supportive culture, quickly progressing through the 12-week training program and placing her first candidate within two months. Bethan soon found her niche in the public accounting team, partnering with CPAs and EAs across Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Today, she takes pride in helping professionals step into roles that genuinely improve their work-life balance, while supporting firms in building stronger, more engaged teams.
Bethan’s recruitment style is rooted in consistency and a clear, process-driven method. She works closely with tax and audit professionals to understand their goals, then matches them with firms that fit their values and aspirations.
Known for building long-term relationships, Bethan is a trusted partner to both candidates and hiring teams. Her focus is simple: mutual success – supporting meaningful career progression while helping firms secure talent that lasts.
Bethan understands that changing jobs is a significant step. Her aim is to make the process feel straightforward and supportive, keeping candidates informed and prepared at every stage.
A standout moment in her career came when she helped a candidate who had unexpectedly lost their job. Within a week of their first conversation, she secured them a permanent position that aligned perfectly with their goals. It’s this mix of empathy, pace and commitment that sets her approach – and Distinct’s – apart.
Outside of recruitment, Bethan’s love of travel continues to shape her interests. After a year exploring Southeast Asia and living in Australia, she’s pursued new experiences – from teaching in Tanzania to relaxing breaks in Turkey. When she’s home, she enjoys Pilates and spending time with friends and family.
