Upon joining Distinct through our intensive 12-week training program, Ellie excelled, earning the prestigious “Rookie of the Year” award. Eager for a new challenge, Ellie successfully transitioned from the tech sphere to the USA public accounting team, commencing her journey alongside Rebecca Sherman.
Since then, Ellie has played a pivotal role in supporting CPA professionals across North America, currently facilitating CPA career moves across Florida.
Ellie distinguishes herself through her commitment to building rapport with candidates. She seeks to establish a genuine connection, going beyond professional qualifications to understand candidates and their motivations, delving into their concerns and unique, current situations. By focusing on the person behind the resume, she delivers personalized support, ensuring candidates feel understood and valued throughout their professional journey.
Ellie’s dedication to her candidates is best exemplified through two notable placements. In both cases, Ellie facilitated roles for individuals who had triumphed over mental health challenges and these individuals continue to flourish in their positions today. Further, Ellie’s skill in grasping the strengths of candidates beyond their resumes, is vividly illustrated by her successful placement of a police officer in an entirely new industry.
Ellie delights in the summer months, immersing herself in various music festivals. A pilates enthusiast, she also boasts an impressive running resume, conquering distances from 5k to a half marathon, with aspirations for a full marathon in the future. Ellie’s adventurous spirit extends beyond running tracks to exploring new locales, both within the UK and abroad, often accompanied by her beloved goldendoodle, Alfie.
