Ian graduated with a degree in Management Information & Business from Loughborough University and embarked on his recruitment journey in 2012 as a graduate trainee in the finance sector.
Having prior connections with Distinct’s co-founders, he was aware of their shared people-first approach to recruitment. Ian initially joined to support the accountancy and finance market in the UK before becoming a valuable member of Distinct’s USA public accounting team.

Ian has long-standing relationships with local professionals in the public accounting industry which allows him to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of both candidates and the organizations he collaborates with.
When at home, he enjoys spending quality time with his partner, Bex and their young daughter, Emi. The family share a passion for discovering new places, with recent adventures taking them to Australia; other travel highlights include Canada, Iceland and Bali. He’s also a big sports fan with a particular interest in soccer, golf and cricket.
