We’re growing our Legal Recruitment Team and are looking for a motivated, results-driven recruiter to specialize in the U.S. legal market. You’ll be placing legal professionals from Associate to Partner level, working closely with candidates and law firms to understand their motivations, strategic goals and career aspirations.

About the team
Led by James Hales, a recruitment leader with over a decade of experience, our Legal Recruitment Team is a close-knit, high-performing group. We’ve celebrated four consecutive record quarters, and six team members have achieved personal-best billing years. Based in London, King’s Cross, we work hard and celebrate our wins – together.

While the role involves working with U.S.-based candidates and firms, requiring at least two late evenings (up to 10 p.m.), you’ll have the autonomy to manage your hours flexibly. Many of our team opt to take Fridays off as part of their work schedule.

Role overview
As a Senior Legal Recruiter, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting top legal talent with leading firms across the U.S., from boutique practices to global law firms.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing and sourcing legal candidates, including Associates, Attorneys and Of Counsel candidates
  • Proactively market candidates to law firms and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and candidates
  • Negotiate terms and manage interview processes discreetly and professionally
  • Provide market insights, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Writing compelling job adverts and execute effective candidate attraction campaigns
  • Attend client meetings (virtual and in-person) to strengthen relationships
  • Manage fee negotiations, contracts and business terms
  • Keep the CRM database updated with accurate, real-time information
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and company best practices.
About you
We don’t micro-manage, you’ll need the drive, discipline and commercial acumen to take ownership of your desk and grow your market.

Ideally, you will have:
  • At least three years of recruitment experience (legal sector or U.S. market experience is a plus)
  • A proven track record of billings 
  • A strong networker with a talent for building client relationships
  • A proactive approach to business development, lead generation and market mapping
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • A sales-focused mindset and ability to drive revenue growth
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives (a plus, but not essential).
