About the Role
The position offers opportunities to manage meaningful litigation work while developing trial skills under the guidance of experienced attorneys. The role requires a billable expectation of 1,950 hours annually and may involve occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Review files and analyze claims and causes of action
- Conduct legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Collaborate with and retain expert witnesses
- Prepare for and attend trials
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice in Michigan
- Minimum of 2 years’ civil litigation experience
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong client service orientation and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work both independently and in a team environment
