About the Role
The position is for a full-time associate with 2–6 years of litigation experience, ideally in medical malpractice or healthcare law. The role involves working closely with trial-tested attorneys on small teams. While attorneys enjoy autonomy over their schedules, maintaining core office hours is encouraged to support collaboration and partner accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients from pre-trial through trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and agreements
- Attend hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy
- Support business development and client relationships
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois State Bar membership
- 2–6 years of litigation experience (medical malpractice/healthcare a plus)
- Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
